Beata has been with Kaplan, O'Sullivan & Friedman since 1997. She is an experienced immigration practitioner with a particular
expertise in business and employment-based immigration. Prior to coming to the U.S. Beata studied at Jagiellonian University in
Cracow, Poland and at the University of Vienna in Austria. She was awarded a B.A. in Linguistics and Cognitive Science, summa
cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Brandeis University and received her J.D. (International Law Concentration, with honors) from
Boston University School of Law.
Much of Beata's practice involves temporary work visas, such as: H-1B visas for foreign-born professionals, including
IT professionals,
scientists and researchers, professionals in the field of business and finance, medical professionals, architects, designers,
and educators; L-1 visas for executives, managers and specialized knowledge employees of international corporations;
O-1 visas for foreign-born individuals with outstanding abilities such as distinguished scientists, artists and performers,
inventors, medical researchers and business people; TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals; E visas for treaty nationals
coming to invest or trade in the U.S.; and R visas for religious workers. She also assists individuals and businesses
in obtaining lawful permanent residence "green cards" in all types of sponsorship categories.
Beata represents multinational and domestic, public and private companies from start-ups to large, established
corporate entities in a diverse range of industries including technology, consulting, publishing, manufacturing, financial services and scientific companies,
medical establishments, architectural firms and construction businesses, museums, artists, entertainers and performing arts venues,
educational institutions, research and other various non-profit organizations, as well as sole proprietors and individuals seeking
representation in immigration matters.
Beata has been a frequent presenter on immigration-related topics at various client or community sponsored events and workshops.
She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, New York Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts
Bar Association, and the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and she is admitted to practice in the States of Massachusetts and New York.
