Jerry received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1986, and his M.S. in Labor Relations in 1979 from
the University of Massachusetts. In 1976, Jerry received his B.A. in Economics at Clark University. He has been a partner
with KOF from 1990 to the present time. Before becoming a lawyer, Jerry was a Business Agent for the Bay State Council,
Retail Wholesale Department, State/Union, AFL-CIO from 1979-1983. He was an organizer with the Service Employees
International Union, AFL-CIO, Local 495 from 1975-1978. Jerry is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
as well as the National Lawyers Guild, and has been named in Best Lawyers in America/b> from 2000-present. In 2002, he received
the Detention Panel Attorney Award from the Political Asylum Immigration Representation Project. Together with partners
Harvey Kaplan and Maureen O'Sullivan, Jerry received the 2007 Daniel Levy Award of the National Immigration Project of
the National Lawyers Guild in recognition of excellence in the practice of immigration law. He has particular expertise
in the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and is frequently consulted on this topic.
